Temperature rating: The bf valve's components and body construction must withstand the minimum and maximum fluid temperatures and any extreme ambient temperatures.
Pressure rating: The pressure rating of the butterfly valve must sufficiently exceed the maximum anticipated operating pressure within the pipeline system. This prevents damage from over-pressurization.
Tight shutoff: Advanced features like offset discs and self-adjusting seals are important for achieving complete, leak-proof valve shutoff when closed, especially for hazardous media.
