  • Electric Horns:

These types of horns are most commonly used as they are the latest. They provide warning signals which are generated by an electronic circuit. They can produce sounds as loud as 140 decibels. They work with a battery that is either rechargeable lithium-ion or 2 AAA batteries.

  • Manual Horns:

These are the oldest and the traditional horns. They are operated manually and function when a rubber-made, ball-like structure is squeezed. They might not produce loud sounds.
