Review of the ordinary clamp meter

I was so happy when i found this product i have been using it for a while now and it has made my life so much easier.

If you need a clamp meter, this is the one you want

Great clamp meter

Based on my personal experience, the metravi clamp meter is an excellent product that has served me well. it is reliable, easy to use, and very accurate.

Very compact

Very compact, and has most of the functions that are normally needed. good resolution too. Most meters of this type use 9v energiser batteries. with aaa cross, this one is very convenient.

Generic product

Metravi brand and model dt-725 not engraved anywhere. just printed on front side. appears to be a generic product. lcd backlight goes off in 15 sec and makes it difficult to see the measurement range/unit in low light conditions. probes were good. temperature measurement is accurate enough. clamp meter measures dc as well. I could measure charging current of a 7ah 12 v battery which was just 0.4a. it does have all required features in a small size. fairly accurate. calibration certificate is just a blank card without serial number and signature.

Accurate instrument

Its a small but accurate instrument and full of features which some of the big and expensive clamp meters are not having. dc current can also be measured with this clamp meter. its little bit expensive.

It claims terms

It claims terms so I bought it. when tested in ac amperage...there is differential in decimal of +/- (0.2 to 0.5) between Kirloskar pump control panel lcd showing the ampere and the clamp meter...all other function is working perfect...only one con is that its backlight in screen does not last long but dims off after few seconds...may be to save battery life ...but its a pain when working in low or no light area/situation.

I am satisfied

I bought it to measure dc current, iam satisfied. it can measure dc current of few hundred ma and above accurately, dont expect to it to measure 10s of ma accurately its all ways good to use wired amp meter for very small currents. All the given functions are working well. A good indiametern company!!.

Showing accurate results

I am very much satisfied with the clamp meter and showing an accurate result. this is an indiametern company, so I value buying indiametern brands than cheap Chinese. cost is also affordable it raging dc current from 0-60/600 at this price range. I recommend this for normal solar people who need to check dc amp/current. ac part is also working perfectly. the backside light and ncd options are interesting and useful.

Design is superb

Good clamp meter... all range working accurately... capacitance range working but value showing after 15 second... not fast...current testing range not working below 1.5 amp. otherwise build quality and design is superb....
