I am a fan of stanley tools, and these pliers are great.

The stanley 6.5 inch vde combination plier is a great product. the only disadvantage is that the jaws are not serrated, so it can be difficult to grip certain materials. other than that, it is a great tool for the price.

Seem good enough

These are relatively small, which suits me fine. they are not as chrome looking as the photo, so i am not sure what their resistance to rust will be. looks like phosphate coating to me. seem good enough. they are not particularly well machined, since i have had two pairs now and neither of them completely close. their is a small gap between the jaws. it shouldnt affect most people, though, its only the width of a piece of paper. also there is was a tiny nodule from welding stuck to one surface and some swarf on another. they are still good but i do think given the lack-lustre machining that they are a tad over-priced.

I expect these are good pliers; i might never know. i will have to choose a star in the middle based on possibilities. i might have to just put them on display and just admire them, as i have no idea how to get the clamp off. the cardboard came off easily enough but there is no space to apply any scissors to this contraption and that bar is very thick plastic.customer image customer image customer image
