This product is for cable broadband like Alliance Broadband. The ethernet cable of the service provider is to be directly connected to the wifi router. There is a yellow ethernet cable provided in the box which is to be used to connect the router to the computer. The router needs to be configured and that can easily be done if you call up Dlink customer care for guidance.
