Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is to partner with WhatsApp and educate small-medium business owners (SMEs) on WhatsApp Business app. This will help them build a better connection with their customers and expand business reach. There will be on-ground training as well as webinars for business owners across India.
WhatsApp has been a business platform for numerous small and medium enterprises. More than 70% agree that WhatsApp has increased their sale.
Ben Supple, public policy manager, WhatsApp, said, “Whether it’s a chai stand or saree shop, small businesses are at the heart of vibrant communities and the engine that makes the Indian economy grow. Small businesses need to meet their customers where they are, and in India, that’s on WhatsApp. With the WhatsApp Business app, small businesses can easily and efficiently connect with their customers, and we’ll be introducing new features in the future to continue helping them grow.”
